Is the mystery sports car an EB?

Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - This Week -

I’m sure you’ve been inundated already, but just a note to say that the ‘mystery sports car’ in the photo in your Letters page ( CCW, 22 March) is an EB 50, built by Edwards Brothers of Stoke-on-Trent between (from memory) 1959 and ‘61.

The reason it looks so unfamiliar in the photo is that the vast majority of EBs, like all the other proprietary ‘specials’ of the day, were built on Ford Popular chassis. Some would have found a home on a Halifax or Watling chassis (of similar length) and EB even offered its own ladder frame, again of similar dimensions to the standard Ford item.
