Drive-in with a classic twist
The drive-in cinema is a familiar feature from American films, and a new venture plans to provide not just the movies but the classic car from which to view them too. August Moon Drive-In plans to open in Nashville, Tennessee, next year and 50 cars from the 1960s will be placed inside a 40,000ft air dome to provide the best seats in the house at $20 (£16) each. From their heyday in the 1960s when there were around 4000 drive-ins in the US, there are now fewer than 350 left in business. August Moon Drive-In hopes to reverse that decline.
