Give us a clue on prices

To quote the late Sir Terry Wo­gan, ‘Is it me?’ or has any­one else no­ticed how many clas­si­fied ads don’t give a price?

Is it a bit of what we call in our house the Rolex Watch Syndrome? In other words, if you have to go in and ask the price, you ob­vi­ously can’t af­ford it. I ap­pre­ci­ate that most prices are open to ne­go­ti­a­tion but it would be nice to at least see the open­ing gam­bit. Then, if it’s in your price range, you can pick up the phone and start the bar­gain­ing process. I re­ally do think that there’s a prin­ci­ple at stake here. Reg Pear­son, Ol­ney, Bucks
