Sunshine puts a spring in ACA’s step as it rattles through the lots, including a cute ’Healey
With viewing the day before its sale seeing punters out in force, Anglia Car Auctions was looking good for a strong sale, and the added bonus of warm sunshine put a spring in the sale’s step. That translated into keen bidding, good prices and some bargains too. With just shy of 300 lots on offer, those wanting to make a late bid had a bit of a wait on their hands. Even so, auctioneer Jim Ronan dispatched 50 or so lots in the first hour. Interest was remarkable, with the AC special in particular generating a serious number of calls and email enquiries, especially from Germany, while the Mercedes-Benz 190 SL that had been in long-term, one-lady ownership attracted lots of interest. ACA performed well in this sale across all price spectrums, but there were bargains to be had too – one particularly lucky punter bagged a second-generation Citroën Visa for just over £400.
ACA’s next sale is on 17 June.
