Rover 200 BRM LE

Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - Drive-it Day Special The 50 Greatest Drives - David Brown

The BRM LE is based on the sporty Rover 200vi, and is Rover’s homage to its 1960s collaboration with the BRM motor racing team. Externally, you can’t miss the Brooklands Green livery with that orange snout – a nod to that carried by racing BRMs in the 1960s – surrounding a shiny wire mesh grille – plus BRM badges on the sides. The interior is equally impressive with red quilted leather and brushed aluminium fittings. It’s a real driver’s car that is not only comfortable but also features excellent roadholding with its Torsen differential, variable valve control, close-ratio gearbox, lower ride height, 16in alloys and stiffer suspension. Great.
