Wolseley 6/80

Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - Drive-it Day Special The 50 Greatest Drives - Nick Larkin

Large, imposing and prestigious, the Wolseley 6/80 is a joy to drive with its torquey Hispano-Suiza-derived 2215cc overhead-cam engine. The four-speed column gearchange doesn’t like being rushed but is fairly accurate and the brakes are good. There is still body roll and understeer – this is a big heavy car – but ride is excellent and it really is a great thrill to look through the split windscreen and along the bonnet as you make rapid progress.
