1988 JAGUAR XJ-S V12 CONVERTIBLE

Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - Buying & Selling -

There are Jaguar XJ-S Convertibles, and then there are ones as good as this. This emphatically was not a ten-bob millionaire’s motor, but one that had been owned by the vendor since early 1993. It came with full main dealer and specialist history, had been Waxoyled in 1995 and seen little use other than in the summer. And if the history wasn’t enough, the bodywork, paint, chrome and interior would have converted the ‘maybe’ bidder into someone wanting to have a go. Great paint and bodywork isn’t always a common sight on an XJS, but this was just right, as was the cream interior. The £11,500 upper estimate soon kicked into the long grass as bidding went on to a stonking 27 grand.
