BUILT TO LAST
The MB-Tex upholstery is almost indestructible, but the optional leather needs checking for cracks and tears that can be costly to repair. Velour wears badly with age and is almost impossible to replace. Electrical problems are rare unless the wiring has been compromised in some way. In any case, overall condition is the most important thing here as thorough refurbishment can cost thousands. Check for damp carpets, and make sure that a coupé’s rear window is watertight as water ingress quickly leads to corrosion in the boot.
