The Bank Holiday weekend might have kept some punters away, but bidding was just as fierce as ever

Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - This Week -

There might not have been quite as many punters as normally seen at SWVA’s sales, but the fact that this was the start of the Bank Holiday weekend could have affected the plans of anyone who would have liked to have been at Poole for an in-person bid. While the numbers of attendees were down, the prices being offered weren’t, with keen bidding seeing strong prices irrespective of a car’s age or condition. Two Bentley specials did well, as did an extremely smart Jaguar XJ- S V12 convertible and Austin A35 pick-up. Bargain-hunters had their work slightly cut out for them, but the small outlay for a late Rover 820Si saloon was a good buy, as was a P38a Range Rover in 4.0-litre Autobiography guise.

SWVA’s next sale is on 28 July and it has announced its first two dates for 2018 on 26 January and 27 April.
