Re-testing isn’t just an age thing

Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - This Week -

It is a very sad – but isolated – case of an 85-year-old driver who killed a woman by mounting a pavement. I personally agree that 70-year-olds who want to drive should prove that they are still able and competent to drive safely and not endanger other people.

Why leave it at over 70, though, when you have youngsters who have not long have passed their driving test with a total disregard for other drivers or pedestrians? Then you have people who drive around using their mobile phones and, even worse, texting. Also, the drunk drivers who get their licences back – why not make all of these people when caught take the driving test again? Mike James, Gwent
