Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - Driving -

The Standard Ten was designed to provide comfortable daily driving at a competitive price. It’s not exactly quick, but still great fun to drive, with a spacious interior and impressive economy that can easily top 47mpg.

Standard values tend to be lower than they are on many rivals, but their charming character and fun driving quirks are beginning to gain wider recognition, meaning that prices are quietly creeping up.

Triumph’s acquisition of Standard – that, and the launch of the new Herald – may have left the Ten somewhat in the shadows, but these modest saloons are fun, economical and entirely deserving of greater recognition.
