Cosworth takes top spot

Fast Sierra makes £44k – and plenty of action in the lower ranks

Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - Buying & Selling -

Plenty of interest north of the border – including punters who’d travelled up from all over England – ensured Morris Leslie’s second sale of the year finished on a high.

Strong prices paid for a Cosworth Escort and a Cosworth Sierra (which drew the sale’s top price at just over £44,000) showed the enduring popularity of these cars, while those who prefered something more traditional were well catered for with a good and varied selection of Jaguars, MGs and Triumphs.

There were bargains too, with a couple of later Jaguar saloons off for under £1000 and two Audi A8s, which are enjoying a small but enthusiastic following, just above and below the grand mark.

A good sale, pointing the way to more success during the year: Morris Leslie’s next sale is on 19 August. ❚ 01821 642574 ❚ mor
