Prices for all 928s have risen over the past three years, and the topof-the-tree GTS manual is £50k and beyond – one London dealer has one for £95,000. For that you enjoy one of the most rewarding GT experiences you can get, with excellent reliability and truly supercar styling.
Although 928s are beginning to be restored, now values have largely yet to reach that stage where full-bore restorations are fiscally viable – though if you do it for the love, we applaud you. Therefore, it’s important that there is a vast ream of service history available as well as receipts for work done. Of course, you should do this for any classic, but these are complex, difficult-to -work-on cars so this is the first port of call, perhaps even before looking at the bodywork!
