Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - This Week -

PREVIEW: Petroliana and Automobila, Richard Edmonds Auctions, Allington, 16 June The automobilia section of the Richard Edmonds Auctions always offers a great selection of items but the sale this Friday (16 June) at Allington, near Chippenham in Wiltshire, really pulls out the stops.

Included in the sale is the first part of the extensive John Christopher collection of enamel signs, that includes many fine and rare petrol/oil company, car and tyre manufacturer, AA and advertising enamels.

One of the outstanding enamel signs in this sale is a double-sided Morris Trucks radiator-shaped example (below), 16in x 22.25in, estimated at £800-1200.

As always at Edmonds’ sales, there are plenty of items carrying lower estimates, such as an AA enamel direction sign by BB Kent pointing to a ‘Classic car show’ that is estimated at £30-50. ■ richardedmondsauctions. com
