1962 Jaguar E-type FHC

Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - Buying & Selling -

With many classic car owners opting to conserve rather than restore, this re-commissioned E-type offers a pleasing take on how these cars can be used and enjoyed. The auctioneer says that this car was bought in a semi-dismantled state in 2016. Initially lined-up for a full restoration, plans changed once its condition and originality were taken into account and it was given a thorough re-commissioning instead, leading to its ‘present glorious condition,’ Bonhams says. Engine, running gear, underside and chassis are reported to be in good condition, the Opalescent Grey paint and chrome fair and the interior original, bar the carpets and headlining. Eminently usable as it stands, or a good, solid starting point for more intensive restoration, this E-type deserves a caring new owner.
