Barry SiderySmith 1936-2017
Barry Sidery-Smith, a historic racer known for his exploits in AustinHealeys, Triumphs and MGBs, has died at the age of 81. He originally became involved in motor sport when he entered a race in a borrowed Parker JAP special, going on to buy an AustinHealey 100/4. He has raced MGBs since the 1970s, including at the Goodwood Revival and the Le Mans Classic. Despite being nicknamed ‘Sideways’ Smith he was known for his neat driving style, particularly in the wet.
