Rare Avenger Sunseeker matched the weather in King’s Lynn

Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - Contents -

CA’s punters showed their hot-weather hardiness as the King’s Lynn auctioneer got its sale underway, and many were saying that this was one of its best-ever for the mix of cars offered. Falling short of the 300-plus sales held recently, there was nothing amiss in going slightly smaller. While some prices were very strong – the 1972 BMW 3.0CSL in particular – there were great-value lots, including the 1989 Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit formerly owned by journalist AA Gill; great value at £6600 and a Bristol 603 in little-seen ‘E’ guise – and in need of cosmetics – at £13,600.
