25 years of Type R
Honda celebrated 25 years of its Type R subbrand in style at last weekend’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, with eight models taking to the hillclimb.
Honda’s fastest and most track-focused cars were on show throughout the weekend, as Honda’s heritage department in Swindon brought along eight cars, six of which are owned by the carmaker. The NSX-R (pictured) and EK9 Civic Type R were lent by enthusiasts. A Honda spoksesperson said that the company is incredibly proud of its history, especially as its fastest Civic Type Rs have been made in Swindon since 2001.
Journalists were invited to drive some of Honda’s most track-focused cars. TURN TO FOR OUR FESTIVAL COVERAGE
