Why the MGF’s a winner

Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - This Week -

Having just read your most encouraging review of the MGF and Midget ( CCW, 21 June) I couldn’t wait to send some

pictures of my own MGF, which we have had the pleasure of owning and driving for the past seven years. Sadly whenever we take our ‘Little Red Racer’ to a show, we always get the odd idiot who always has to tell us that there is a problem with the head gasket, as if we were in the complete dark about the problem. Our ‘F is a Nightfire Red 2001 car with a genuine 28,000 miles from new, with Lexus-style rear lights and the original Abingdon alloys replaced with TF ones. It has no rust anywhere.

We love our MGF and are pleased to see a positive review in your pages to confirm our opinion of these great little sports cars. Plus, the head gasket is the original from new!

The Beaumonts’ ‘F has less than 30k miles.
