LOSE YOURSELF IN 1966

Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - 6-page Nostalgia Special -

This was the year of Sergio Leone’s epic Spaghetti Western, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, starring Clint Eastwood, Lee Van Cleef and Eli Wallach. A ballet for the gun, the action revolved around the three main characters searching for a horde of Confederate gold, set to an equally memorable soundtrack scored by Ennio Morricone. Jack Brabham won the 1966 British Grand Prix at Brands Hatch on 16 July, driving a Brabham BT16, putting him ten points clear in the World Championship stakes. Brabham’s win put an end to Jim Clark and Lotus’ four consecutive wins in the British GP.
