The best of your summer adventures in your cars
The sun’s out (well, at least some of the time), the evenings are long and every weekend’s a four-wheeled adventure in waiting – and being able to head out in your pride and joy at the height of summer is what makes all those months of fettling your classic worthwhile.
That’s why we wanted to celebrate what you’re doing with your cars in this summer-themed special issue – and we were astonished by the number of responses we had, particularly on Classic Car Weekly’s Facebook page.
Hundreds of you shared plans of what you’re planning to do with your classics, ranging from epic voyages across the European continent to weekend outings to nearby beaches, and planned appearances at shows later this summer. We were particularly encouraged to hear about the number of classics that have been put back on the road this summer after months – or even years – in the garage being restored; that can only be a good thing for our hobby, and I’m really looking forward to seeing some of these cars at shows soon.
You shared so many brilliant feelgood stories about what you’re planning to do with your classics this summer that we simply couldn’y fit all of them into this week’s issue – but here are just a few of our favourites to give you a taste.
