Early Subaru and Queen gui­tarist’s Jowett set to rock up at Sandown Park sale

Barons is back just a mat­ter of weeks af­ter its last sale, and this one, dubbed the Con­nois­seurs Clas­sic Car col­lec­tion, in­cludes a 1938 Lagonda LG6 orig­i­nally lined up for the last sale. A 1959 Jaguar XK140S 3.4 fixed-head – which has been owned by the ven­dor for 40 years – is likely to gen­er­ate plenty of in­ter­est, along with (at time of go­ing to press) three Tri­umph TRs, in­clud­ing a match­ing num­bers Emer­ald Green TR6.

Seek­ers of the more un­usual might find the 1968 Subaru 360 tempt­ing while the pro­ceeds from the sale of a 1952 Jowett Javelin of­fered by Brian May – gui­tarist and singer with the rock band, Queen – will be do­nated to the an­i­mal char­ity ‘Save Me’.
