E-type stolen in ran­sack raid

Po­lice are searching for a Jaguar E-type that was stolen dur­ing a raid from a house in Es­sex.

Lee Scott, owner of clas­sic restora­tion busi­ness Lee Scott Clas­sic Cars, had his 1964 E-type stolen from his home in Brightlingsea, Es­sex, on 4 July. Lee says: ‘Not only did they steal my pride and joy, but they stole all my son’s and wife’s money, as well as her jew­ellery. We have CCTV of the per­son we think did it.

‘Please help me get my car back. If any­one has any in­for­ma­tion please con­tact the po­lice.’

A spokesper­son from Es­sex Po­lice says: ‘En­try was gained to a prop­erty and a messy search was car­ried out. Items in­clud­ing jew­ellery and a Jaguar E-type were taken. No ar­rests have been made yet.’

The search for the Jaguar has gar­nered con­sid­er­able at­ten­tion on so­cial me­dia al­ready – reach­ing 560 shares in just two days on Face­book alone.
