E-type stolen in ransack raid
Police are searching for a Jaguar E-type that was stolen during a raid from a house in Essex.
Lee Scott, owner of classic restoration business Lee Scott Classic Cars, had his 1964 E-type stolen from his home in Brightlingsea, Essex, on 4 July. Lee says: ‘Not only did they steal my pride and joy, but they stole all my son’s and wife’s money, as well as her jewellery. We have CCTV of the person we think did it.
‘Please help me get my car back. If anyone has any information please contact the police.’
A spokesperson from Essex Police says: ‘Entry was gained to a property and a messy search was carried out. Items including jewellery and a Jaguar E-type were taken. No arrests have been made yet.’
The search for the Jaguar has garnered considerable attention on social media already – reaching 560 shares in just two days on Facebook alone.
