The Sev­ern Val­ley Rail­way’s Clas­sic Ve­hi­cle Day re­turns on Sun­day 30 July. A pop­u­lar event in the her­itage line’s an­nual cal­en­dar, a va­ri­ety of ve­hi­cles will be on dis­play at sta­tions along the line. The old­est cars on dis­play are ex­pected to be a 1924 Clu­ley on Kid­der­min­ster sta­tion con­course, a 1927 Rolls-Royce Coupé at High­ley, and a 1928 Austin at Bridg­north. Look out at Bewd­ley for a 1936 Tri­umph Drop­head Coupé, 1966 Volk­swa­gen T1 Space­away car­a­vanette and a 1973 Jensen In­ter­cep­tor III. Among the rail­way’s re­serve col­lec­tion of lo­co­mo­tives in The Engine House Vis­i­tor Cen­tre will be 11 ve­hi­cles, in­clud­ing a 1939 MG TA, 1961 Singer Vogue and a 1964 Lo­tus Cortina MkI. ■
