£100k’s worth of cossies stolen

Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - This Week -

Three Ford Sierra RS Cosworths collectively worth more than £100,000 have been stolen in Scotland.

The Sierra RS Cosworths were taken from a garage in Peterhead, Aberdeenshire, some time on 14 July. The owner of the cars believes that they were stolen to order, and understands that they may have been taken with the aid of a lorry.

One white Sierra, which has been extensively modified, has already been recovered. But two others, both of which are mostly standard, are still missing. One is blue with the registration number D341 JHW, and the second is black with the number E203 APU.

Lead investigator, detective constable Richard Cooper, says: ‘ The cars are very identifiable, especially to collectors, so I would urge anyone to keep an eye out for similar vehicles for sale.

‘ The two models outstanding would most likely have been towed away or put on the back of a truck, van or lorry.

‘Anyone who saw anything unusual on the surrounding roads during the night in question are asked to get in touch.’

if you have any information call Police scotland on 101.
