Anniversary owners out in force
It was a very busy year for birthdays at Siverstone, among them the Lotus Seven’s 60th, and two Ferrari big ones.
After its massive national event at Danesfield House in Marlow last month, the Classic saw the biggest gathering of Ferrari Owners’ Club members cars, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Club and 70 years of the marque itself.
Ferrari Owners’ Club secretary Gary Dearn says: ‘We welcomed around 400 cars over the three days. Our members enjoy coming to this event because it covers so many elements – whether you’re a car enthusiast or a specific marque enthusiast you get to see everything at Silverstone Classic.
The Ferrari Owners’ club showcased about 400 cars as Ferrari turned 70.
