E-type takes £51.7k top spot

Good money in Connoisseur sale

Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - Buying & Selling -

Seven withdrawals from its British Connoisseurs’ Classic Car Collection sale would have been frustrating for the Barons team, but with 40 cars still on offer there remained hope for some reasonable results. And by sale end a well-presented 1970 Jaguar E-type Coupé took top price accolade at a credible £51,700, just ahead of a 1964 Jensen CV8 that was hammered away for £48,950. Most of the cars sold pulled five-figure sums, including a restored 1974 Ford Capri in JPS limited edition guise at £20,950 and a 1994 MG RV8 at £18,150. This was a fair sale, but one that promised much more than it delivered.
