Two days to Roverfest!
The 50th anniversary of the introduction of the V8 engine that powered so many British cars is to be celebrated this weekend at Roverfest.
Organisers hope that more than 800 V8 vehicles will be on display there – the legendary Buick block was fitted to luxury saloons, prestigious off-road vehicles and sports cars from 1967 and 2016.
The three-day event, put together by the Joint Rover Clubs, is on 11-13 August at Wroxall Abbey, Warwickshire, a venue chosen for its close proximity to the former Rover plants in Coventry and Solihull.
Mike Maher, chairman of the Rover Sports Register, says: ‘We’re looking forward to seeing some rare and wonderful cars.’
