1951 Austin Sheerline

Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - Buying & Selling -

In its earliest form – ie. before it gained Vanden Plas Princess badges and evolved into a rather bulky car beloved by provincial mayors – Austin’s Sheerline was a well-proportioned, roomy and attractive car with a good turn of speed, almost matching the Bentley MkVI in terms of quality. With low production and a high attrition rate in the 1960s and early 1970s, thanks to rot and the banger racing fraternity, any survivors today are rare, and this original and unrestored example is sensibly estimated.
