Geoff’s 1963 110 is his fifth P4, which he bought five years ago. He says: ‘ The first car I ever drove, on my 17th birthday, was a Rover 90 and I’ve owned them ever since. This one was sitting in a layby with a ‘for sale’ sign in the window and I took pity on it. It needed work; I had to rebuild the engine, replace the clutch and outriggers and do various other bits of welding before undersealing it all. It’s now capable of everyday use, but doesn’t get as much use as I’d like because I have eight cars, including three Rover P5s. I love the way these cars are so solidly built; the engineering integrity is phenomenal. The P4 was clearly a car designed and built to last.’
