STEP BACK IN TIME

Whether you own a pre-war classic or just want to see them being enjoyed in action, you won’t want to miss these great events

Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - Great Pre-war Car Events -

It’s all too easy to treat pre-war cars as delicate museum pieces that should be preserved above all else – but the happy fact is that there are scores of events across the UK where these wonderful machines show off what they’re truly capable of – and they do it with pace and enthusiasm!

There’s nothing quite like an historic racing event or one of the Vintage Sports Car Club’s trial events for demonstrating just how tough and able pre-war cars are – and it’s easy to pick up an Austin Seven, Ford Model B or Bullnose Morris and get stuck in if you’re feeling adventurous. There are also plenty of static shows where you can enjoy these classics in a more relaxed atmosphere, particularly at the New Year classic gatherings at Stony Stratford, Brooklands and Much Marcle.

We’ve picked out just a few of our favourite events which are either focused exclusively on pre-war classics or where they feature prominently throughout. It’s also worth remembering that virtually every classic vehicle show or event – not just in the UK, but all over the world – will welcome these cars with open arms.
