2002 Renault Avantime Privilege
Recent coverage in the glossy monthlies has done Renault’s quirky ‘crossover’ luxury car no disfavours, and today it’s not seen in quite the intolerantly humorous way it once was. And with good reason, because beyond the admirably bold looks lies a usable, well-appointed car that can only rise in value. Brightwells’ was pretty good in the body, the doors (which can prove troublesome due to their size) and the straight and tidy panels. Some of the upper panels had blistering paint and the sides and bonnet could have benefited from a re-paint, but the exterior was, on the whole, pretty smart. Inside things were very good, with seats and door panels in first-rate order.
