Insurer and Classic Friendly team up

Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - This Week -

Fuzz Townshend’s Classic Friendly garage scheme has taken the decision to join forces with an insurance company, following the Government’s recent controversial decision to exclude pre-1977 cars from mandatory annual MoT testing.

Classic Friendly and Heritage insurance have partnered up in order to offer a classic car garage network of restorers and service providers to policy members. They will also offer members a comprehensive check, dubbed the Roadworthiness Safety Inspection, for all pre-1977 vehicles. Simon Downing, Classic Friendly commercial operations marketing manager, says: ‘Classic car restorers are few and far between and it’s not so easy to just find somewhere you can get your car fixed. ‘If someone wants a Jaguar specialist, we have them. And the same can be said for most marques. ‘All of Heritage’s policy holders will be directed to Classic Friendly, where we’ll manage the complete repair claim process throughout our network. All Heritage policy-holders will for the first time have a dedicated network for all their classic motoring needs.’ clas
