Counting Cars

Counting Cars gets its name from the customisation shop at which it’s based – Count’s Kustoms. It’s a traditional Kustom store that restores and modifies American classics in the hope of making profit. It’s based in Las Vegas and plays heavily on that – but you can’t fault the quality, and the type of car that generally features in the show. The plot line is almost irrelevant – seeing these master craftsmen make unique machines out of old American steel is quite beautiful. They’re not always to everyone’s taste – but that’s kind of the point. In this episode, Danny Koker (the owner of the shop) gets a whopper of a commission from an American burger chain, Carl’s JR. He has full creative control of a Chevrolet Corvette that’ll be used to promote the brand. But do his inyour-face design cues go too far? Murray Scullion
