1959 Fiat Multipla project
The origins of the small people-carrier can be traced back to the Multipla, which showed how a car’s ‘footprint’ needn’t be a barrier to how many people it can accommodate. Historics’ example – a four/five-seater with luggage space behind the rear seats – is an American import. The body is said to be ‘sound’ but the engine is not running, although spares back-up for these smaller Fiats is pretty good. Complete with NOVA certificate, it’s definitely worth saving.
