Mark bought this Cortina back in 2007 from the car’s first owner and embarked on a detailed restoration that took eight years to complete. After sitting for 15 years previously, there was some rot to deal with as well as some other bodywork repairs. He says: ‘There wasn’t much that I couldn’t rebuild or refurbish. I spot welded underneath for strength as I wanted it as close to factory standard as possible.’
