Lotus head Departs
Storied sports car maker Lotus has lost its chief executive officer Jean-Marc Gales to head up historic race and restoration specialist JD Classics. He was responsible for turning Hethel’s fortunes around when installed in 2014. Gales leaves as Lotus, a firm with a colourful financial history, is safely located within Chinese car maker Geely’s portfolio, joining Volvo, Polestar, London EV Company (nee London Taxi Company) and Lynk
& Co. He says: ‘I am excited by the opportunity to lead the JD Classics team. This is a business with very talented technicians and craftsmen.’
Jean-Marc Gales has joined JD Classics.
