Bring back the Consul Capri!
I completely agree with Bob Dixon’s letter arguing in favour of manufacturers making more classic-themed cars ( CCW, 30 May).
Pretty much all cars today are so mundane that you just think how they ever thought about the design, trim and options level back in the day when you look back at the classics.
Being a bit of a Ford nut, l just feel that with all the following for classic Fords, that retro style must be a winner. You just wonder why Ford wouldn’t introduce retro Classic Consuls and Capris, albeit with today’s emission standards – hybrid or electric.
These are the sort of cars people want – ones with a difference.
