1956 STUDEBAKER GOLDEN HAWK
It’s all too easy to dismiss any 1950s American car as a big, wallowing boat of a thing that might be good in a straight line, but is otherwise lacking in almost every department. The Studebaker direction was a little different, and its range of coupés had a lot of European influence. This one-yearonly model features a 352 cubic inch (5.7-litre) V8 and was given a five-year body-off restoration that was completed in 2012. Rare, unusual, stunning, fast – and potentially great value if it sells within estimate.
