NI set for MoT exemptions
Northern Ireland announced on 2 July that it plans to exempt 40-year-old (and older) Vehicles of Historic Interest from roadworthiness testing – bringing it in line with the rest of UK. The amended legislation was supported by Northern Ireland’s Committee of Infrastructure and will be put before the Assembly at a later date. Pre-1960 cars, like the rest of the UK, remain MoT exempt.
