The Brooklands Reunion, August 13
Now that the original start/finish straight has finally emerged, fully restored, after more than half a century buried beneath a wartime aircraft factory, what’s left of the old Brooklands circuit is much more usable – and it’s a cause for celebration.
Aimed at creating a period atmosphere – Thirties costume is encouraged for visitors – the Brooklands Reunion will be a combination of car show and historical recreation, with grids of cars thundering down the straight and onto the banking, and a hillclimb competition on the adjacent test hill. At £11 per adult it’s affordable too – visit brooklandsmuseum.com for more.
