Sticking in my memory

Reading CDB issue 41, on page 34, I noticed a bit of tape on the lower shock mount of a Suzuki MX bike and wondered what it was for. Then my curiosity really peaked when I saw it again in issue 43, page 82, on Mr Decoster’s bike in a picture from 1972. I’m hoping one of your readers can tell me what that bit of tape is for. Love the magazine, it’s like Christmas four times a year!

Jeff, it is nothing more complicated than the in-thepaddock- on-the- day quick- fix to stop the bottom mount circlip coming off but as such is part of the bike’s history. Tim
