All the places to go in the month of May.
The Spring Bank Holiday Monday will once again see local bikers gather for the Gary Routledge Ride and Show. This annual charity event has become a big feature of the North East motorcycling calendar. It begins at the Dyke Neuk Inn, Meldon at 9am. The route then takes in a run up the coast to a tea stop in Bamburgh before the return leg over the moors to Burgham Park Golf Club which is the venue for the bike show from 1pm. The main aim is to raise money for the Great North Air Ambulance Service and the Riders for Health charity. Once more, CMM’S own Niall Mackenzie will be participating in the 2015 Ride and Show. As always the event is open to anyone, with families being especially welcome at the bike show. There will be a charity auction and raffle while trophies will be awarded to the bikeshow winners. In addition to the regular show categories, this year will see the introduction of a trophy in memory of Graham Turnbull. Graham was a regular supporter of the Ride and Show and the trophy will be presented by the Turnbull family.
