Who is Richard Lindoe?

Classic Motorcycle Mechanics - - NEWS & EVENTS -

Mad-cap creator, lunatic genius, these words and many others have not been uttered about Richard Lindoe. Originally of Norwegian birth, ‘Filth’ (to quote his nickname from his Punk era) is a one-off who matches his love of motorcycles and motorcycling with a devilish need to tinker, change, modify and update. It’s a fact that Richard has been ‘Retro Rebooting’ bikes for a number of years - and he’s made some real corkers. As well as the likes of Incredible Kettle (with paintwork inspired by the Disney film of the same name) there has been Dresda Kettle and K5 Kettle - which was a mix of GT750 and Suzuki GSX-R1000K5 parts. This was built in 2006 and was later sold - much to Richard’s regret. He says: “Lots of people loved that bike and I soon realised that I wanted to build another one just like it. So Kev Brookes and I built two - the Rizla Suzuki GT750 machines that graced the cover of March 2011’s CMM.” Richard is editor of the Kettle Club’s excellent ‘The Flexi Flyer’ magazine and attends as many events and trackdays as he can on his updated Rizla Kettle (often with black GT replica bodywork.) We will be showcasing more of Lindoe’s rebuilds and creations as and when in CMM.
