Buying the 30 bikes necessary for the Pro-am events cost around £70,000 – with spares! The bikes are RD250LCS (easier to get than the original 350s) and the specification of the engines is all period and identical. As all bikes were sourced from mainland Europe, all the restrictor washers were removed from the exhausts. Nitron rear shocks and revised front fork internals were also fitted. A set of Continental’s Conti classic attack radials finish the bike off. Since the first event in 2015 the bikes have been further refined and brought to a much more equal standard following lots of dyno time and work by IDP Moto’s Craig Prior.
