Jef Ashcroft’s Norick Abe YZR500 replica
I swapped a Kawasaki H1 triple in perfect working order for a box of bits and a Yamaha RD500LC engine. The guy I got it from had the same idea as me but didn’t get round to it but most of the parts he’d bought for it had no chance of fitting together. It’s a TZR125 4DL frame and the only reason the engine fit was because the frame was wide enough: just, every lug had to be grounded off and re-welded. Then there was the swingarm: it took me two years to build it (all my own work), paint and all. It was the worst thing I’ve ever done but when you ride it and it hits the powerband it was worth it! Anyway it would be the icing on the cake if you featured this bike!
