It’s a 1969 bike I got from Austria that came minus the original engine which then turned up six months later but damaged on one of the engine mounts. My good mate Charlie Owens took on the project as I was too busy at the time. The frame around the air intake had been cut about badly so we had weld in a section from a scrap bike. The damaged engine mount was also repaired via a section cut from another scrapper; if we hadn’t done this we’d have lost the matching engine number. FS1S sold in relatively small numbers in Japan and in the parts of Europe where 16-year-olds could ride a motorcycle as opposed to a moped.
