Richard Parker’s Garelli Tiger Cross

I thought you might like to see my Garelli Tiger Cross: I’ve just had my 56th birthday so I’ve had 40 years on this! I remember getting it in September 1977 from Kendall and Pitt in Colchester. I think they liked me because I seemed to buy many pistons and quite a few barrels from them. It was my daily rider for the first four years of my motorcycling life. I got it back on the road last year after it was laid up since 1993. It has taken me five-years to go through and either refurbish or add NOS parts to complete it: all done in my garage. Anoraks will notice the non-standard colours, front mudguard and suspension (original springs only were rubbish). Well that’s what I did soon after I got it, so that makes it period for me!
