‘Mr Gold Star’ Eddie Dow passed away on March 17. Born on June 26, 1924, Eddie’s life revolved around the BSA brand, originally opening a dealership in Banbury in 1956, and from the early 1960s his focus was solely on BSA. Such was the respect that BSA had for

him they welcomed his improvements to the machines they were producing and he was responsible for the development of the Gold Star and the creation of the BSA Rocket Gold Star.
