CB750 & H2R flat trackers

Classic Racer - - NEWS -

Rick Hocking punted a Champion-framed but uncompetitive Honda CB750 flat tracker around Half Mile and Mile tracks in the early Seventies.the top-heavy Honda’s poor ground clearance, heavy weight, and high revs didn’t suit the longer tracks. It wasn’t the first multi-cylinder powered flat tracker however, astriumph and BSA triples had been used since they were permitted, in 1970. Before thetz750 flat tracker, Schwerma had already made a couple of chassis for the factory Kawasaki H2R powered 750 triples for Erv Kanemoto, ridden by Gary Nixon, then Don Castro and Scott Brelsford.the latter became the first flat track rider to win on a two-stroke machine.
